About Us

Nelson+Shuck specializes in representing owners and providing oversight on multi-million dollar projects. Jessica Nelson and Michael Shuck founded Nelson+Shuck when they discovered that their unique talents, when combined, could effectively handle the most demanding projects and almost any type of problem. Nelson+Shuck now provides complete capital project management services. We can help you with everything from initiating a project through to its successful completion. 

Nelson+Shuck’s experience includes projects with school districts, cities, non-profits, and corporations. Our projects have been as small as sidewalks and as large as the $92 million school bond program for Enid Public Schools. We love building relationships and have great working relationships with many architects, contractors, and other partners. Our combination of experience and energy will make us a valued member of your team.


Our Team

Jessica Nelson

Jessica graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She started her professional career working in the accounting and banking industries. She gained an understanding of the inner workings of businesses and learned how to work with businesses of every kind. Jessica is able to bring this business sense to every project she works on. She has experience working for schools districts, municipalities, and non-profits. She has worked her way up from executive assistant, to project manager, to executive director. As the demand for her skills grew she founded Nelson Capital Project Management.

Jessica has managed projects as large the $9 million Advance Soccer Complex and as complicated as district wide furniture purchases for Enid Public Schools . Jessica is an expert at creating public-private partnerships. The most successful public-private partnerships she created was between the City of Enid and The Enid Sports Association, which culminated in a $3 million contribution from the City of Enid. Jessica loves building relationships and has great working relationships with many community leaders, architects and contractors and she would love to talk with you about your next project.


Michael Shuck

Michael brings over 25 years of design, management and construction experience to every project that he works on. He grew up working at Shuck and Sons Construction, a family run construction company. He attended Oklahoma State University where he earned a degree in Architecture and a minor in Sociology.

Michael started his professional career in architecture working in Kansas on projects that focused on building communities for several universities, school districts, and public institutions. Highlighting his work with universities was the 250,000 square foot technology center at Pittsburg State University. The technology center was consider the most advanced center of its kind at the time when it was completed. Michael’s work with public institutions included several projects with the rapidly growing Greater Wichita YMCA where he designed several recreational facilities, aquatic playgrounds and skate parks.


In 2004, Michael moved back to Oklahoma to focus his career on more complex and demanding projects. He achieved a high level of success and has been recognized for this work with many national and international awards. His awards include the 2009 International Architecture Award from the Chicago Athenaeum for both the Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City and ImageNet Consulting in Houston, Texas. He has received further recognition with the publication of his projects. Kirkpatrick Oil Hennessey in Hennessey, Oklahoma has been published internationally twice in Hinge published in Hong Kong and International New Architecture published in China. He was especially honored to have his work for ImageNet Consulting on the cover of Interior Design.
